LGBTQ+

LGBTQ+ is the umbrella term encompassing sexual and gender minorities who identify or are unsure of their sexual identity or who engage in a sexual act or a r o m a n t i c relationship with same sex/-gender partners. It's a commonly used abbreviation for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Transgender, Gender Queer, Queer, Intersex, Agender, Asexual, and other Queer-identifying communities. Exclusive sexual identification as non- heterosexual also helps to demarcate the identity of LGBTQ+ individuals.

LGBTQIA++

An acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual, encompassing diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and sex characteristics.

LGBTQUIA+

An inclusive acronym representing diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. It stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual (or Ally), and other identities beyond this spectrum. The plus (+) acknowledges additional identities that may not be explicitly included in the acronym, emphasizing inclusivity and diversity within the community.

Latin American Women

Women from Latin America who navigate multiple layers of marginalization, including racial and gender-based oppression, economic inequalities, and the impacts of colonial histories. They have played key roles in feminist, anti-imperialist, and human rights movements.
